Life Transitions Counselling

Find Your Footing When Everything Is Shifting

Change is a natural part of life, but that doesn't make it easy. Whether you're moving through a planned transition or adjusting to something unexpected, periods of change can stir up grief, uncertainty, anxiety, and a loss of identity that can be difficult to navigate alone.

Therapy offers a space to make sense of what you're moving through, reconnect with what matters most, and build a clearer path forward.

WHAT BRINGS PEOPLE HERE

Life Transitions Come in Many Forms

Career changes, job loss, or retirement
Separation, divorce, or the end of a relationship
Becoming a parent or navigating parenthood
Loss and grief
Moving, immigration, or leaving home
Health changes affecting you or someone you love

THE APPROACH

My Approach

Transitions, even welcome ones, often bring a grief that goes unacknowledged. We begin by making space for the full complexity of what you're experiencing: the loss, the uncertainty, the relief, and sometimes all of these at once.

From there, we work together to understand what this change means for your sense of identity, your relationships, and the story you're telling about your life. Therapy isn't about rushing through a transition, it's about moving through it with greater clarity, intention, and support.

As you find your footing, sessions shift toward building a renewed sense of direction, one grounded in your values and what genuinely matters to you.

Treatment may include:

  • Solution-Focused Therapy to identify strengths and next steps

  • Attachment-based exploration of how change affects your sense of self

  • Grief and loss processing

  • Values clarification and meaning-making

  • Building resilience and emotional regulation skills

  • Developing a renewed sense of direction and identity

THE EXPERIENCE

What You Can Expect

A warm, unhurried space where you don't have to have things figured out. Life transitions rarely follow a neat timeline, and therapy doesn't either.

Sessions are collaborative and flexible, meeting you wherever you are in the process, whether that's right in the middle of upheaval or somewhere in the long, quieter aftermath.

Together, we'll work toward a sense of groundedness, clarity, and confidence in navigating what comes next,  on your terms, at your pace.

Begin Your Next Chapter

You don't have to navigate change alone. Whether you're in the middle of a transition or still processing one that's already passed, therapy can help you find your footing and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
